From AIS Bulletin #153, April 1959. Introducing: TECUMSEH GOLD Tecumseh Gold is the finest new yellow we have seen in years. It is pure yellow, between Empire Yellow (Wilson 603) and Canary Yellow (Wilson 2). It is as fine a flower as Ola Kala, but it is pure yellow, even to the beard, with clean hafts and no hint of orange or egg-yolk in its color. Tecumseh Gold is 38" tall, with an excellent stalk that never needs staking; flaring, ruffled, and a good increaser. It was produced by our lamented friend Neil Pearson of Tecumseh, Mich., and is from Berkley Gold X (Golden Hind x Happy Days). $20.00. Cardinal Iris Garden. |
