'Tenga' (Tena Berndt, R. 1975). Seedling# 22. TB, 34" (86 cm), Early bloom. Standards grey; falls ruffled rosy lavender; white beard tipped yellow. 'Memphis Lass' seedling X 'Gala Madrid'. Berndt 1976.

From AIS Bulletin #221 April 1976 Introducing TENGA (Berndt). E, 36", TB. (Memphis Lass sdlg. X Gala Madrid). Delightfully different color with a touch of mystery behind this feminine looking iris. Closed ruffled gray standards; falls exquisitely ruffled, rosy dark lavender. Floriferous with plenty of buds. $25.00. Tina Berndt.
