From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1946: THE SENTINEL (D. Hall 1942) M. This iris is very attractive. A bright burnished copper with medium large flowers of good form and substance. The branching is rather high, but the brilliant color more than makes up for it. Per. R. 86 1944. 35 in. $3.00
