'Thelma Leaton' (Lura Roach, R. 1960). Seedling# 56-56. TB, 48" (122 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards heavily striated dark purple; falls white, purple stitched border; yellow beard. 'Esquire' X 'Raven Wing'. Roach 1964. Exhibition Certificate 1963, High Commendation 1963.

From AIS Bulletin #173, April 1964. Introducing THELMA LEATON. (Esquire X Raven Wing). $20.00. A clean white-ground plicata, deftly stitched with sharp violet. Closed standards heavily washed violet. Beautifully tailored flowers are well spaced on 4-way branched stalks. EC with 15 votes as well as HC 1963. Lura Roach.
