1991/92, Blyth

'Town Gossip' (Barry Blyth, R. 1991). Seedling# U101-1. TB, 36" (91 cm), Late midseason bloom. Standards icy lavender; falls plush velvety violet black, 1/4" bright violet edge; beards bright red. 'Sooner Serenade' X 'London Lord'. Tempo Two 1991/92.

From Tempo Two catalog, 1991: TOWN GOSSIP (Blyth 91 Aust) M-ML 38". This pulls you from afar, it is so bright with its iridescence. Standards are icy lavender, ruffled and full; falls are plush velvety violet black with 1/4" edge of bright lilac to violet. Beards are bright red. An iridescence comes from the flower that is hard to describe. Some show branching. (Sooner Serenade X London Lord). Sdlg U101-1. HC 90. $25.00.
