'Trail Blazer' (M. Oliver, for Carl S. Milliken, R. 1955) Seedling 3200-3. TB, 36" (91 cm). Midseason bloom. Red-mulberry self, blue blaze, bronze beard. Tan seedling# 2930-21 X 'Rose Gold'. Milliken Gardens 1950.

From Fleur de Lis Gardens catalog 1956: TRAILBLAZER (Milliken 1951) M. 36 in. (Unknown). A very large mulberry magenta with a buff gold infusion in the standards and a touch of red each side of the beard which ends in a blue signal patch at the tip. A buff gold border on the falls adds to the beauty of this most unusual blend. 3.50.
