2009/2010, Blyth

'Treasure Trader' (Barry Blyth, R. 2008). Seedling# O304-1. TB, 37" (94 cm). Very, Very early bloom. Standards lemon yellow; falls blended deep burgundy-rose deepening to burgundy-black at hafts and lightening toward edge to lemon buff rim; beards bright mustard yellow. Seedling# L304-1, 'Platinum Class' sibling, X seedling# M33-1: ('Wearing Rubies' x 'Decadence'). Tempo Two 2009/10.

Hybridizer's comment: Begins to bloom with the Dwarf Iris in early September.This has lemon yellow standards. Falls are blended deep burgundy rose, deepening to burgundy black at the hafts and lightening at the edges to lemon buff. It also has texture veining over the falls of burgundy. Horizontally flared and ruffled to near lace on petal edges. Beards are bright mustard yellow. Well branched with lots of buds. Very fertile and giving some good seedlings. Some seedlings rebloom. We love it.

Fertilizer Prefers rich conditions on relatively inorganic soils.
