From Bay View Gardens catalog,1983: TROPICA. 34 inches, mid to late season. $25.00. Oranges have been on the small side, but Tropica is large, very large indeed. Full formed with light lacy edges. Real orange with a red infusion around the red beard. This is the first of our red-orange line in the color class of the rose, Tropicana. Very vigorous and floriferous. Form is like its parent, Financier. No. 78-154A: (Financier X (76-37F: (Ballet in Orange x 73-1222)).
