From Milliken Gardens catalog, 1948: A strikingly beautiful 8-inch flower with white or near white standards and flaring yellow falls. Both standards and falls are deeply ruffled and are of excellent substance. The hafts are wide (2 inches) and are rich yellow. The beard is golden. The outer portions of the falls are shaded to a very light yellow deepening near the serrated edges. The standards are well arched but have open windows between the ruffled sides of adjoining petals. In these windows are the broad (1 inch) style arms which are lightly brushed in parts with gold. 2-1/2 feet. $25.00 |
