2008, Painter

'Valentino' (John Painter, R. 2007) Seedling# J03-148A. TB, 36" (91 cm). Early to late bloom. Standards cardinal red (RHS 187D), bronze red base and central area blending to cardinal edges; style arms bronze red; falls deep cardinal red (187C/D), lower edge darker, side edges slightly lighter, gold center stripe (variable); beards bright gold; lightly ruffled. 'Crimson Twist' X 'Golden Panther'. Napa Country 2008. Honorable Mention 2010.
