And now, direct from Buffalo, Newark, Altoona and assorted other localities comes a beautiful lady! Drum roll please! VAUDEVILLE VIOLET! Well Vaudeville may be gone, but this iris certainly recalls those days. She has standards of medium blue shaded violet-blue and falls of violet-blue with hint of blue shading (overall effect slightly darker than standards). The added attractions are pale blue beards, heavy substance, much ruffling, nearly horizontal flare and beautiful form. She also features 3 branches, spur and terminal with 10-11 buds and 3 or 4 blossoms open at once on show stalks. Sterling Silver X Allegiance. $25.00. 4-Square Iris Gardens. |
