| From Cooley's Gardens for 1939: "A striking violet purple of great size and excellent form on 44-inch very strong stems; branching and placement good. A richly colored self, with inconspicuous bluish beard. Standards are domed and the widely flaring falls are entirely devoid of haft markings. The originator says that this iris is very much admired by men. Each $10.00."
