'Vigilant' (Joseph Ghio, R. 2005). Seedling# 00-8V. TB, 36" (91 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards blue lavender; falls black purple; beards burnt brick. Seedling # U97-5E: unknown X seedling# 97-65-O2: ('Visiting Royalty' x seedling # 95-1-Q: (seedling # U92-7A2: unknown x seedling # 93-9D: 'Snowed In' sibling)). Bay View 2006. From Bay View Gardens catalog, 2006: VIGILANT, 36 inches, EM. $45.00. A lovely neglecta from the Romantic Evening line: Standards are blue-lavender shading to buff at the base of the petals. Falls are smooth black purple. Wavy ruffled blossoms on show branched stalks with super bud count. Burnt brick beards add a somber note. No .00-8V: U97-5E: unknown X 97-65-02: (Visiting Royalty x 95-1-0: (U92-7A2: unknown x 93-90: Snowed In sib)).
