'Village Squire' (Ferris Gaskill by Ruth Goodrick, R. 1973) Seedling# 1071-5. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Standards pink-orange (RHS 29C); falls orange (28D/C); fire red beard. 'Sunset Ridge' X 'Roman Villa'. Goodrick 1974.

From AIS Bulletin #213 April 1974 Introducing VILLAGE SQUIRE (F. Gaskill-R. Goodrick, Selector). TB, 36". Standards are pink-orange; broad, fluted falls are orange brushed green-gold at haft; heavy beard is fire red to tip; stylearms are very laced. Branching and bud placement good. Sunset Ridge X Roman Villa. $25.00. Country Village Garden.
