From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2011: WATER OF LIFE (Black ‘11) TB Early-Very Late 38” (97cm) Water Of Life is the result of breeding for a black and white amoena plicata. It seems there is a way yet to go. Light blue minimally plicata washed standards surround interesting style arms with crests putty tan lightly streaked violet. Mid to dark violet blended falls have white luminata type patches faintly lined blue. Darker hafts provide a bit more contrast. Consistent garden performance. Smaller flowers are carried on show stalks with 4 branches plus spur and 12-14 buds. Sdlg. N109A (Thunder Spirit x American Classic) X Lord of Letters. $50.00. |
