From Maple Valley Gardens catalog, 1952: WAX CANDLES. Whiting 1953. N0. 4648 (SHARKSKIN X JAKE). Midseason to late. 24 inches. A delightfully cool and clean flower of waxy white with a glowing yellow light at haft and beard. Blooms profusely on strong rather closely branched stalks. Very effective in a clump--a good companion for JEWEL. The strong, hardy plants increase rapidly. $5.00. |
