Imperial purple (RHS 78D) with apricot (28C) hafts, becoming more apricot with age; ruffled falls; fire red beard. Seedling# 7-20E5: (('Chinese Coral' x seedling# L-1A2) x 'Orange Parade') X seedling# 7-8D: ('Lightup' x 'Chinese Coral'). Brown's Sunnyhill Gardens 1975.
