'Whispers' (Jack Linse, R. 1950). Seedling# 48-10. TB, 42" (107 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Color Class-YW4. Yellow and white bicolor. 'Jasmine' X 'Blue Rhythm'. Easy Breeze 1951. Honorable Mention 1952.

From Easy Breeze Gardens catalog, 1953: WHISPERS (Linse '51) 42". HM '52. A softly alluring, delicate and lovely iris, with its ruffled standards of soft Chrome Yellow, and flaring falls of Amber White with graceful lilt. Described as Pinnacle done in reverse, there is actually less contrast between standards and falls, and the form is very flaring. Flowers are large with good substance, and borne with utmost abandon. Branching and habit of growth are superb. $9.00.
