From AIS Bulletin #125, April 1952. Introducing WHITE PEACOCK-(Pattison 1952) 40". Large, ruffled blue-white flowers of smooth finish. Tall and well branched. Very Lovely. (Katharine Fay x Lady Boscawen) H.C. 1949 under name White Christmas. Net $20.00. Canoga Iris Garden (Stuetzel).
From Milliken Iris Gardens catalog, 1955: WHITE PEACOCK (Pattison)-H.M., A.I.S. '52. Probably our favorite blue-white iris. We have seen no other that will touch it for quality and sheer loveliness. Really a delicate blue that turns soft white after a day or so in the sun. Wavy ruffles and cool waxy substance form into a large flower that is wholly lovely and distinctive. If you can't buy it this year, go somewhere where it is growing and become enchanted by it as we are. 36 in. $11.50.

"White Peacock (Pattison '52)-Buds show a blue cast, but flowers open and are white, the heaviest substance I have seen in a white iris. Well branched, flowers nicely ruffled on 40 inch stalk. An outstanding iris. MRS. OTTO STUETZEL." “Region 15, Varietal Comments,” Advertisement. The Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 134 (July 1954): 73.
