'Wild Angel' (Thomas Johnson, R. 2006). Seedling# T101A. TB, 42" (107 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Standards white, faint gold halo; style arms white, gold crests; falls white ground, 1/2" gold patch on outside edge of haft extending 1/3 way down, old gold veins between beards and this edge, violet veins from beard half way down blending into violet sanding becoming almost solid at margin, 3/8" gilt gold rim; beards bright marigold, slight hook at end; ruffled, laced; slight spicy fragrance. 'Notorious' X 'Goldkist'. Mid-America 2006. Honorable Mention 2008; Award of Merit 2010.

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2006: WILD ANGEL - TB, 42" (107 cm), Midseason-Late. Beyond the standards, this is definitely not your ordinary white angel. Many of you have been waiting the arrival of this Wild Angel and here he is. White standards and styles have faint gold halos and are heavily ruffled and laced. Elongated gold shoulders merge with 3/8 inch laced gold bands that encircle the falls. White areas around bright yellow beards is veined gold and violet. Veining becomes violet-purple sanding and then solid violet-purple over lower half of falls. Gold center fall stripes run from beards to half way down falls. Stalks having 3-4 branches and 10-12 buds are a sure show winner with 3 and 4 blooms open at once. Proving to be an extraordinary parent for even wilder angels. Sdlg.
