From Sam Carpenter Garden catalog, 1925: WILD ROSE -This is reported by Mr. Franklin B. Mead, the iris enthusiast of Ft. Wayne, IN, as the finest pink-flowered Iris in his garden. $10.00.
 
From Quality Gardens catalog 1931: WILD ROSE (Sturt. 1921) L. 34". A beautiful pink which is aptly named. The texture is very smooth and satiny. If you care for pink iris, you will like this. It is the daintiest iris we have ever seen. $.50.
