'Yucatan' ( James Kirkland, R. 1934). TB. Late midseason bloom. Color Class-S7M. Seedling x Seedling. Kirkland 1935.

YUCATAN (1935), a blend of copper, rose and gold of great size, somewhat of Eldorado colouring. Falls are flaring but a bit narrow. 36". [G. L. Pilkington, "Iris Notes", A.I.S. Bulletin 74 (July 1939): 35.]

Notable for its colour, but the form is poor. Too narrow in the falls. [G. L. Pilkington, "Iris Notes", A.I.S. Bulletin 74 (July 1939): 64.]

From Iris City Gardens catalog, 1940: YUCATAN: A soft blend of copper, gold and red, giving a delightful pink effect. The slightly ruffled, domed standards are coppery tan; the reddish falls, with heavy gold at the narrow haft, droop slightly. 36 in. 75ยข.
