The Garden 67: 344. 10 June 1905, illustrated; provides the following: "IRIS PERSEPHONE. This is a large and handsome hybrid Iris, belonging to the Regelio-Cyclus group. It is beautifully veined with purple-black upon a white ground. It is a large and extremely showy Iris. It was exhibited by M. C. G. Van Tubergen, jun., Haarlem, Holland and received an award of merit from the floral committee of the Royal Horticultural Society on the 23rd ult." |
