G. Van Tubergen, BRS). Sdlg # NIA. RC. Height and bloom season NIA. I.korolkowii var. Leichtliniana X I. paradoxa. AIS Color Class: S9M (red squalens with dark blotch on greyish bitone pattern). '76 CL: S blue-violet; F narrow, lighter base, veined ground, standards darker; dark signal. Rainbow: "Standards deep wine. Falls white, flushed pink, with sharp black veins radiating out from the black signal occupying nearly half of each fall. Falls round, orizontally flaring." Valette: "deep lilac violet. $.25. S. veined darker; F. lilac white, veined deep lilac-brown; flaring short, stubby falls, almost hidden by a black signal patch." Van Tubergen, before 1907. Notes: Name approved; counted as a 21-chromosome diploid, an RC in both systems; this is the pedigree from the '39 AIS CL, which the '76 committee accepted; ASI '62 YB, p. 68, gives I. lortetii X (I. stolonifera leichtlinii x (I. paradoxa. x I. iberica)); ASI '66 YB, p. 63, gives (I lortetii x Leichtliniana) x (I paradoxa. x I iberica).
