'Midas Gold' (Bryan Spoon, R. 2018). Seedling 2010-B5 VG/ORGBD. BB, 27” (76 cm), 6-7 buds. Early midseason bloom. Variegata; Standards bright yellow (RHS 12A) with dark mahogany brown blend (RHS 175A&187B) pattern of veins at bases; Style arms greyed orange (163B) with thin keels of midribs greyed red (182B); falls dark mahogany brown blend, darker hairline edge, and yellow (12B/C) haft lines and dark mahogany brown veins; Beards solid orange (24A) beards; ruffled, closed and domed standards, wide, semi-flared falls, crenulated lace, laced crests, sweet fragrance. Seedling 2006-B32 ('Solar Fire' x seedling 2003-B25A ('Midsummer’s Eve' x 'Solar Fire')) X 'Hot Secret'. Winterberry Iris Gardens 2019.
