References:

From Childs catalog, 1931: Pearl white deeply veined rosy plum. Center petals deep plum edged white. $3.50.
From Flowerfield Bulb Farm catalog 1942: Doris Childs. Each 60c, Six $3.00. Carried on tall, straight stems, the double row of large pink petals is deeply veined in purple, giving a color contrast of outstanding beauty. This Iris really should be used as an accent point rather than for a background planting.
