From Marx Gardens catalog, 1958: EMBOSSED (Marx 1956) Each $5.00. Here is a Marhigo with precise clear cut features unmatched by any iris, except perhaps some of the Oncocyclus clan. The frilly white flowers shrouded in a network of sharp, well defined veins of deepest (Pansy) blue, and the large tufted centers of deepest royal purple tipped white, create a distinctive heraldic engraving effect. It spells: class. The double 6- to 7-inch flowers are exceptionally ruffled for this type. 3½ to 4 feet. Midseason. |
