From Marx Gardens catalog, 1964: JEWELED KIMONO (Marx 1960) Each $5.00. Referred to in the garden as "Blue Midsummer Reverie" because this gorgeous Marhigo is truly the blue counterpart of the red variety, even more opulent in all floral parts and large in size. We think this is one of the very finest new Marhigo seedlings ever introduced by us. Petals are exceptionally broad, making extra full rounded blooms 8 to 9 inches across. Quite late. 4 feet. Picture page 8.
