Landscaping with Iris Species

It is often best to match a plant with it's potential site. Generally rock garden plants are under 12 inches tall. For a list of Rock garden Irises click here. But many Irises are very easy and require no more than ordinary garden conditions, click here for easy. Shade loving plants do best in shade. Iris are usually grown for their flowers but there are some that excel with variegated foliage or purple colored floliage. Certain Irises are great in ponds and water gardens.
