From Diehl's Gardens catalog, 1955: WEE TURQUE (Streibich '55) 4½". This dwarf of pure pumila parentage is a color we have not seen before in the dwarfs. The great amount of green along the midrib and at the haft gives a turquoise effect, hence the name. The standards, closed and of good form, are in this turquoise color, and the falls are of a soft grape coloring. The falls tuck at the very tip but are wide and broad. The heavy beard is white and the flower has ample pollen. A two year clump of Wee Turque is a solid mass of bloom, resembling a corsage. $3.00 |
