Iris Banzai. – This handsome Iris is of Dutch origin and is really an improved Spanish Iris. The plum coloured standards above yellow falls which have golden centres make a striking flower. Shown by Mr. Chapman.

Journal of The Royal Horticultural Society, 1922 To Iris 'Banzai' (votes 17 for), from Messrs. H. Chapman, Rye. This handsome Iris resembles a much improved Spanish Iris, and has whitish standards and yellow falls broadly blotched with gold.
