'Rave Review' (Jim and Vicki Craig, R. 1991). Seedling #C17W4. MTB, height 23" (58 cm), Early bloom and rebloom. Ruffled, flared light lavender, faint white haft marks; beards light pinkish red; slight sweet fragrance. 'Gumdrops' sibling X seedling #!C20T2: ((('En Route' x 'Pink Taffeta') x ('New Moon' x ('Sacred Mountain' x _ I. aphylla _ "Werckmeister"))) x 'Puppy Love'). J & V Craig 1992.

  • 'Rave Review' doesn't seem as good a grower as most it's 'children' ( already 20 irises mentioning it's name have been registered, and there are all it's grand chidren that don't show up in that list), but it is still worth using for the genes it seems to pass along, particularly it's orange beard.

It is a tetraploid MTB from Aphylla origin, it reblooms and is Pod and Pol fertile
