1993, Smith

'Hottentot' (Marky Smith, R. 1993). Seedling 90-05N. SDB, 10" (25 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards silky dark bramble violet (RHS 86B); Falls velvety dark fluorite violet (79A), darker in center; beards pale lavender blue (94D), yellow in throat; lightly ruffled. 'Coalbucket' X Dark Vader'. Aitken's Salmon Creek 1995. Honorable Mention 1997, Award of Merit 1999.
