'Seaworthy' (Carol Lankow, R. 1983) Seedling# 80-2-2. SDB, 10" (25 cm). Early to midseason bloom. Standards light violet blue (RHS 97C); falls light violet blue, slightly infused light cinnamon brown; light blue beard; pronounced sweet fragrance. 'Cotton Blossom' X 'Blue Trinket'. Kirkland Iris, Riverdale Iris 1984.
From AIS Bulletin #253 April 1984 Introducing SEAWORTHY-Sdlg. 80-8-2, 10". An exuberant, ruffled light blue. Smoothly, lightly blushed cinnamon hafts. Light blue beards. So many bloom stalks, we fear bloomout every year, but each spring we find plenty of increase and even more flowers. Fragrant? Smells like EXPENSIVE perfume. $10.00. Kirkland Iris Garden. |
