Early to late bloom. Purple with orange signal; Selection of Iris unguicularisIris unguicularis (probably from angustifolia). Awarded an Award of Merit by The Royal Horticultural Society in March of 1991 with the following description; "Standards erect, 3cm long, 2.2cm in diameter, Violet Group 86B tinged with Purple group 77C at base. Falls flaring, 3.4cm long, 2.2cm diameter, Violet Group 83B veined with slightly deeper color, centre at base streaked with Yellow-Orange Group 15A, haft a colour between Yellow Group 5C and Yellow group 5D becoming paler towards margins, with purple striations.
