Iris bicapitata Colas. (Professor Maretta Colasante, 1989, Gargano Peninsula, Italy); 12-16+", (30-40+ cm); Flowers variously colored; Nigel Service (1996) reports "Yellow from bright to pale, white, near white of a green, blued or yellowed sort, purple, violet, pale blue, blue-veined falls and white standards, classic variegata, pale yellow flecked greenish." Beards are blue or white but tipped yellow and turning yellow towards haft. Named bicapitata for its 2-flowered stem, but it flowers only once each year;
