'Carthalinae' (Alexander Wasiljewitsch Fomin, 1909, Miczet-Gori District near Tiflis, Russia). Spur; 36-40" (90-100 cm), Color Class-B1; Blue; sky blue flowers with darker veins; a white form is also known; Fomin originally described this as a separate species but has been reduced by Mathew to a subpecies of Iris spuria ,
