1990, We-Du
‘Nana Alba’. (Weaver, Richard and Renè Duval, 1990). Series Sibiricae. “Iris sanguinea ‘Nana Alba’ (5-7 in. in flower) Similar to the preceding but flowers white and foliage not more than 10 inches tall at maturity.”--We-Du Gardens 1990 catalog. Often listed as ‘Sibirica’ nana alba incorrectly because some forms lack the infusion of purple on the spathe which is normally a key character for Iris sanguinea. Iris sanguinea Hornem ex Donn.
