‘Violivenosa’. 'Violivenosa' (John Kunkel Small, R. 1931, S. Louisiana). Vinic; R3D; Standards almost as long as falls, blade reddish-violet, flushed and veined reddish-purple near margins, bluish purple near channel, haft almost white, flushed lavender and veined purplish red, channel greenish yellow. Falls spreading, 8 cm. long, the blade dark violet, almost black in median band which ends and splits into a yellowish-green crest, the blade has creamy streaks over-veined violet, haft greenish-white with greenish veinings, wings sparsely violet-veined. Style branches greenish, flushed purple on upper part of keel; [Collected Louisiana Iris].
