From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1964: AUTUMN TWILIGHT (Brown '48) ++ ++ L-32". One of Percy's persistent re bloomers. Exceedingly colorful. See color plate. Great numbers of large flowers with sparkling golden cream standards, bright orchid pink falls. Re-blooms heavily from Aug. to Nov. Dependable fall bloomer even in cold climates. Lots of good pollen. A real find! Has many fine re-blooming descendants, including Fall Sunshine '61, Gold of Autumn '61, Autumn Snowdrift, Green Dragon. Regularly $2.50; on $10 order $1.80; on $25 order $1.55
From Fairmount Gardens 1948 catalog: AUTUMN TWILIGHT-(Brown 1948) L. A fall blooming iris that is dependable in flowering even in New England, where most of these do not perform well on account of our shorter season. The closed standards are ecru in color, with no veining, and have a sparkling finish. The semi-drooping falls are lavender in the center, bordered with a brown edging. Hafts ecru with lavender reticulations. Blooms in August, September, and October. Floriferous and increases rapidly. Well branched with nine buds. 32 in. $8.00.
