'Clair De Lune' (Agnes Whiting, 1954) Seedling 4711. TB, 36", Midseason to late bloom, Color Class-Y1. Yellow self, (Wilson 60/32), slightly deeper beard. (('Purissima' x 'Matula') x 'Gilt Edge') X 'Glad Tidings'

There is an iris registered by John Wareham in 1925 as Clair de Lune; designated Obsolete in 1959 checklist, p. 39; name released in 1954 to Mrs. C. Whiting. However, the original Clair de Lune by Wareham has been found still growing and is listed as ' Clair De Lune by Wareham'
