"At the other end of the blue spectrum is one of his best creations to date: D 79 ER, a pale lavender blue plicata with the garden name of Cloud Duet. It has intense rufHing ruffling and so many other qualities for which we look in a modern iris. Although it was not in bloom at the time, a blue breeder bears mention because of its unusual blooming habits. It has three distinct flowering periods instead of two like most remontants. It might thus be called a triflora. It is a very vigorous descendant of MARTIE EVEREST." [Billy G. Skillman, “A Fall Garden Visit,” The Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 180 (January 1966): 65.]
