DOUBLE MAJESTY See below: and RETURN ENGAGEMENT, his first commercial releases, were introduced by the Avonbank Gardens, Radford, Virginia, in 1965. These fancy plicatas in the red range were seen in full clump by the writer on October 16, 1965, in the hybridizer's garden. They are somewhat similar, though definitely different. DOUBLE MAJESTY could even be said to grow oversize in this garden. It is just simply that big. Its flaring form is nice. [Billy G. Skillman, “A Fall Garden Visit,” The Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 180 (January 1966): 63.]
