From Fay catalog, 1956: Fleeta (1956) $25.00 No. 53-70-51-29 X TSI-60A medium light pink self with pinkish red beard, from a Mary Randall seedling which was 1/8 Pallida. This breeding gives Fleeta thickness of petal, and a large completely hardy plant with blue-green foliage. The large flowers are nicely ruffled and are carried on a well-branched strong 37-inch stalk. The standards are swirled together so they do not pop open. The falls flare nicely. Has pollen; sets seed easily. H.C. 1954.
From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1963: FLEETA (Fay '56) M-37". A wonderful new pink that has received many favorable comments in AIS & Regional Bulletins. Its pedigree makes it a "must-have" for most hybndizers, for th1s is one of Fay's first iris to contain the much-sought Pallida blood, which imparts thickness of petal, real hardiness, and a distinct1ve blue-green foliage. Breathtakingly beautiful, due to its lovely light pink coloring & distmct1vely ruffled standards & semi-flaring falls; beard pinkish-red; stalks well-branched. Already proving to be a great breeder; has pollen & is seed parent of Court Ballet, New Arrival & Esther Fay. HM 56, AM 58. From Mary Randall sdlg., 1/8 Pallida. Regularly $3.00; on $10 order $1.85; on $25 order $1.25; 3 form $3.20; 10 for $9.60.
