Longfield catalog 1936 states "A magnificient white plicata of 'Los Angeles' type but even more beuatiful. The flowers are large, 5x5½ inches, have good substance with 8-9 flowers on each well and deeply branched stalk, 50-52 inches tall. Perhaps its most outstanding feature is its hardiness and prolific blooming habit. Is especially valuable in the garden because of its height."
