GIN FIZZ (Wareham 1942) M. Mr. Wareham has a rare gift in naming iris, and Gin Fizz is a good example for the whole flower has the delectable frosty appearance of a cooling gin fizz, so refreshing on a hot summer day. The domed standards are firm and strong with an ivory flush along the midrib. The flaring falls are white with a decided ivory flush in the center. Beard pale yellow in the throat paling out to white at the tip. A lavender flush on the styles adds to the cool crispness of the flower.
