'Johnny G' (Lloyd Zurbrigg, R. 1983). Seedling# P 58. TB, height 35" (88 cm), Midseason bloom and rebloom (September-October in Virginia). Standards white; falls light yellow; yellow beard. 'October Sun' X 'Earl'. Avonbank Gardens 1983.

From Avonbank Bank Gardens catalog for 1984: "This is my AIS Bulletin #249, April 1983 Introducing JOHNNY G-Very attractive best yellow amoena amoena, to date, very clean in contrast, its contrast of white standards and primrose yellow falls. The branching is also very good. It is fertile either way. It was the only rebloomer and the best flower in its cross good form. Can rebloom as early as August; usually Sept. (October Sun X Earl). $35.00. Avonbank Iris Gardens. of some 130 plants, a welcome and unusual combination. (Named for John William Grossman of Ft. Pearce, Florida)."
