From Tell’s Gardens catalog, 1964: LACED CHARM (G. Mayberry '64) ML 40 in. (Mary Randall x Jan Elizabeth) Bred from two shorter parents this delicate pastel beauty stands high in the garden on heavy stalks. The ground color is ivory flushed delicate seashell to apricot or flamingo pink, very delicate in appearance but the color holds to the last. The petals are nicely laced and the beard is pinkish-tangerine. Standards domed and the falls wide, round and flaring. Most charming and personable. Its breeder and I have been employing it in quest of lacing in lavenders, whites and pinks with red or tangerine beards. Was, as well, crossed with Norma Averett. Fertile both ways #58-69. $25.00 |
