From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: LIMELIGHT (D. Hall 1952) M. L. 35 in. (Sunray x Hall pink No. 46-42). A novel but very lovely new iris, this is a blending of canary yellow and greenish lemon. The flowers are nicely formed and have a deep lacy, chantilly like edging. A. M. 1954. 5.00. |
From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1957: LIMELIGHT (Hall 1952) Each 3.00. One of the most novel iris we have ever offered and one of the most beautiful as well. Lace-like canary yellow blossoms of great size with a discernible greenish yellow cast are freely produced on 35 inch stems. Unquestionably an all-yellow flower with only a somewhat lighter area on both the standards and falls with frilled and serrated edging. The cool refreshing air of the flower make it all the more irresistible. Medium late. HM 1952, AM 1954. |
