From Sass catalog, 1937: LONA (Jacob Sass, 1923)- Another fine plicata type of unique coloring and pattern. S. pale purplish vinaceous, white at center, ruffled. F. cream dotted and striped Eupatorium purple with a yellow glow at the haft and center. 27 inches. 25c.
From Sarah Toedt’s Springtime Gardens catalog, 1929: LONA -Similar to King Karl with more lavendar in the blended stippling of color.
